CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
Showcasing English Charm and Cultural Elegance | A Record of the Series of Activities during the English Activity Month at Indus International School
In order to stimulate students' interest in learning English, improve their spoken English level, and showcase their English talents, the annual "English Culture Month" event at Indus International School is held as scheduled.
With the joint efforts of all the teachers in the English group, various forms of English activities are in full swing across all grades, showcasing a splendid array of events. Students are also actively participating, bravely challenging themselves to express their thoughts in English and showcase their talents. Some eloquently speak in the speech competition, while others shine in calligraphy and hand-copied newspaper competitions, demonstrating excellent English application skills.
01 English Hand-Copied Newspaper Competition
The English hand-copied newspaper competition is a brilliant stage for creativity and talent. In the process of making the hand-copied newspaper, students first need to gather relevant information and organize it. This is a process that requires patience and attention to detail, as students need to filter out content related to the theme, categorize it, and create a well-structured layout with both text and images. By personally creating the hand-copied newspaper, students can gain a deeper understanding of English culture and improve their English proficiency.
02English Calligraphy Competition
The English calligraphy competition is undoubtedly a comprehensive test of students' writing skills. In this intense competition, students showcase their talents and efforts. They skillfully apply their English knowledge, writing elegant English sentences with delicate and smooth strokes, as if each stroke tells a wonderful story.
English calligraphy not only requires students to master correct writing posture and techniques but also necessitates a solid foundation in English and a deep cultural background. During the writing process, students must pay attention not only to the shape and layout of the letters but also to the fluency of the sentences and the overall aesthetic. Therefore, this is not just a contest of writing skills but also a comprehensive test of English culture and aesthetic ability.
03English Speech Competition
On the stage of the English speech competition, students express their views and ideas bravely in fluent English. They may be passionate or articulate, using the power of words to showcase their confidence and charm. This is a stage for self-expression and a platform for skill development.
Orderly Waiting
One minute on stage requires ten years of practice off stage. In preparing for their speeches, students not only enhance their spoken English skills but also learn how to effectively convey information and attract the audience's attention. Each time they take the stage is a challenge and breakthrough of their own abilities. This confidence and courage will accompany them as they step onto broader stages and face more challenges.
Wonderful Moments

English Drama "The Brave Knight"
Chorus See You Again

Every round of applause is the best encouragement for the contestants; every smile is the best interpretation of youth. The judges listen attentively and score fairly, while volunteers busily collect and tally scores to ensure the fairness and justice of the competition.
Honor Moment
The English subject activity month provides a stage for students to showcase their performance talents, stimulate their learning interest, and enhance their core competencies. With a love for English, let us look forward to students showcasing their talents through hard work and sweat in their future studies, becoming builders of socialism in the new era with Chinese sentiment, international vision, and cross-cultural communication skills!
